Divorce is a painful time for the entire family. As tough as divorce is on parents, it can be even tougher on the children. Children are often caught in the middle of their parents' separation. With all of the legal and emotional issues you have to face, its easy to overlook your children's needs.
Because divorce has proven to be so stressful for children, the District Court Judges of Bexar County are requiring parents to attend a program called "Helping Children Cope with Divorce". This program is a 4-hour seminar designed to help minimize the negative impact of divorce on children
Helping Children Cope with Divorce is a nationally acclaimed program given by trained and qualified mental health professionals.
You will Learn:
- How families experience divorce.
- Typical reactions of divorce.
- The different concerns and needs of infants, toddlers, elementary, middle school and high school children.
- Tips to help children cope.
- Pitfalls to avoid.
- Community resources.
